Pisces and Water

Okay I have noticed a lot of complaints in the zodiac world about the connection between Pisces and water.

People are annoyed that Pisces are always connected to water, but Scorpios and Cancers (the other water signs) are not. So here are a few of the many reasons why Pisces and water are linked together more often instead of the other water signs.

1.) Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune. Neptune is the ruler of the seas. The bond between Neptune and Pisces is pretty intense. Neptune is the God of freshwater and the sea. Neptune’s Greek counterpart is Poseidon. Poseidon is the god of the ocean.

Cancers are ruled by the moon and Scorpios are ruled by Mars. Pisces are the only sign ruled by Neptune. This gives Pisces a deeper connection to water.

2.) Pisces are a mutable sign. Mutable signs tend to “go with the flow”. Mutable signs are versatile and tend to change a lot. In literature water often represents change. So a connection can be made between water symbolizing change and a Pisces being a mutable.

Neither a Cancer or Scorpio is a mutable sign.

3.) Pisces are born between February 19-March 20. That leaves the majority of Pisces born in March. March’s birthstone is the Aquamarine. The word Aquamarine means “derived from water”. Aquamarine was said to protect sailors on dangerous voyages. The gemstone is also blue, like water.

The Aquamarine can give a Pisces a water association.

4.) Okay this may seem pretty obvious but the Pisces are represented by a fish. Scorpios are represented by a scorpion and a Cancer is represented by a crab. A fish has a pretty big connection to water. Also Pisces is the Latin word for fishes.

5.) Back to Greek mythology, the Pisces is used many times in different myths. Most of these myths have to do with Aphrodite. One myth said the Aphrodite and Eros needed to escape a typhoon. The Pisces fishes saved and carried Aphrodite and Eros to safety. Then the Pisces were honored by being placed in the sky as a constellation.

Aphrodite was born from sea foam and the name comes from the word “aphros” which means sea foam. Some of her symbols are dolphins and shells. These clearly are all water related things.

The connections between Aphrodite and water, and Aphrodite and the Pisces could be some of the reasons Pisces always seem to be related to water.

6.) I already said this but the Pisces is a water sign.

There are lots of reason as to why there always seems be a connection to the Pisces and water.

If there was a sign that had the closest relationship to water, it would have to be Pisces. So if someone makes a connection between a Pisces and water there is a reason for it.
